Overview
The Murgia Materana Natural Park is a mixture of archaeology, landscapes, natural and human history. We will walk along the southern side of the Gravina Stream, on the opposite side of Matera city, having a beatiful view on its “Sassi”. We will be overwhelmed by the view of this ancient landscape, getting loads of information about the link between the story of Man and the surrounding environment. We will have the opportunity to appreciate the biodiversity of animals and plants and to admire the wonderful views extending between the pseudosteppe and the ravine.
WHY IS IT SPECIAL?
We will cross astonshing places, walking along ancient paths used since prehistory. We will discover dug in the rock villages, populated since ancient times. You will be accompanied by a passionate and expert guide who will reveal you the wonders of this part of the world. The tour ends with wine and typical local food tasting.
