Overview
The tour takes place near the archaeological park of Santa Maria D’Agnano, where some archaeological excavations have unearthed a 27,000 year old mother burial, located 2 km far from the city center. We will run along the southern spur of rock of the Murge Plateau, admiring the typical Mediterranean scrub and the few holm oaks still existing. We will look up to the landscape that slopes gently towards the sea, having an amazing view of the olive tree millenary plain. We will immerse ourselves in a territory rich in biodiversity, history and nature, that has been populated by man since the Paleolithic.

The route will take us to amazing places that are hard to access autonomously and wonderful panoramas will be there for all to see. We will walk slowly in step with the territory that hosts us. You will be accompanied by a professional guide and expert of the area with whom you will talk about archeology, nature, landscapes. The most important past evidence can be traced on those places that were small villages gathered around caves where man used to live. You will be enchanted by the beauty of this area, characterized by the view of dry walls, millennial olive trees, rural buildings. The tour ends with wine and local food tasting.
